Design and carve your own ring or necklace guided by a Barcelona jewelry artist inside a working atelier in the heart of Gracia. No experience needed. Two glasses of wine included.
You choose what to make at the start of the session. Both are carved by hand in jeweller's wax and cast using the lost-wax method - one of the oldest jewelry-making techniques in the world.
Design your own ring - thick or thin, textured or smooth, sculptural or minimal. The shape is determined entirely by you, so every piece is completely individual. Sized to fit during the session and guided throughout.
Carve a pendant in wax - a shape, a symbol, something abstract, or something personal. Cast in metal and finished with a chain. A wearable piece of art that started as a block of wax in your hands.
All sessions are tailored to you and require no experience. You have full freedom to design what you'd like, but will be guided every step of the way through demonstrations and recommendations.
Start with a glass of wine and a short introduction to wax carving, the lost-wax process, and the tools. You'll also decide what you're making and sketch out a rough idea.
Ring sizing, pendant shape, proportions - you'll make these decisions before picking up your wax block. The artist guides you through the process with demonstrations.
Most of the session is spent here. Shaping, refining, and finishing your piece in wax - with a second glass of wine and one-to-one help whenever you need it.
Your wax goes to casting after the session. The finished piece - polished and ready to wear - is back in 2 to 4 weeks, available for pickup from the atelier or by post.
The workshop takes place inside a real jewelry artist's atelier in Gracia - one of Barcelona's most creative and characterful neighbourhoods. You're in the studio where the artist actually works, surrounded by the tools, materials and energy of an active creative practice.
